The sportswear becomes more and more conspicuous part of the alternative fashion world and it happens not without a reason. How would I explain this phenomenon? The sportswear is a very serious business. I’m not trying to say it’s more serious than any other kind of clothing and put it on a pedestal, but there’s a few very special things you must keep in mind to start a sportswear brand. This clothing has to be very light and stylish, it has to be made of a very special mix of materials to let your body “breath” during your training, you have to be an expert in biology and anatomy to achieve the maximum effect and possibly even invent your own “know-how” thing to let you clothing stand out in a technical way. In other words, it’s not enough for the sportswear to look cool, it must also fulfill certain functions, because nobody would need, for example, a fitness tee that doesn’t let your sweat out or starts to feel disgusting on your skin after a while. That’s why if I see a modern sportswear brand I understand there’s a lot of technological work behind it and I should take a closer look at it too, and not only at how the garments look. Kapische? Alright then.
The brand Peresvit was started in 1999 in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, which is not something very surprising since recently Ukraine has made quite a name for itself as a serious sports country (don’t even get me started on Klitschko brothers, Wassyl Lomatschenko, Andrij Schewtschenko and so on). Envisioned and launched by some passionate sportsmen Peresvit Sportswear pursues the aim of creating a new innovative brand for the broad audience of sports enthusiast and professional athlets, loaded both with energy and modern technology.
The brands founders say they tend to find their inspiration in some kind of a warrior character and I can clearly see that in their apparel. It’s very stylish, modern, dynamic and at the same time has nothing excessive. I’d say the main word here would be “professional”: no screamy childish colors, just the hyperactive yet subdued tones. I also can’t help myself noticing those cool bionic textures they use, because I usually love this kind of stuff. Ok, Peresvit looks awesome, hands down, but what about the real features? The brand uses at least several innovative technologies to satisfy their customers. For example the 3D Performance technology they use for the short- and long-sleeves allows different levels of compression, cooling and ventilation for each body zone covered. When dealing with the leggings Peresvit Sportswear uses their PS Thermo Balance system with the special mesh inserts in such strategic zones as groin, inner thigh and inner shin area. It delivers some enhanced airflow during the training. Another innovation called PS Dry Max is designed to provide you with an additional ventilation. At the same time the compression function keeps your muscles warm during breaks and every gym-goer know very well how important it is for avoiding the injuries. The materials used are usually different mixes of nylon and spandex.
Well I honestly liked what I saw. Peresvit gives the impression of a real sports clothing brand without all that glamorous crap. Talking about “real” I mean it’s obviously a very honest job: the real sportsman doing the stuff for the real sportsmen. No wonder many professional athletes prefer their apparel both for the trainings and the action. Thumbs up!
